Having recently been through the third Infiltration Tunnel, it should be quite informative. DMZ Exhibition Hall: The Best Place for History Lovers. The next stop on your DMZ adventure is the Exhibition Hall. You’ll notice some crucial artifacts here that will help you comprehend our tragic past. The Third Tunnel
The third infiltration tunnel is a must-see visit on our itinerary. The tunnel, which is located 12 kilometers from Munsan and 52 kilometers from Seoul, was found in 1978. Its objective was to launch an invasion of the South. The tunnel is 1,635 meters long, 2 meters high, and 2 meters broad, with the capacity to move a complete division per hour! The interesting element here is that when the tunnel was discovered, North Korea claimed that the South had built it for a surprise attack, although evidence suggests otherwise. Walking inside will seem like you’ve traveled back in time!
Dora Observatory
Enjoy excellent views at Dorasan Observatory. The Observatory, located at the summit of Dorasan, is great for viewing over the border. This is the section closest to the north and one of the tour’s most popular attractions! Get a once-in-a-lifetime glimpse of reclusive North Korea on our half-day DMZ trip! Use the high-powered binoculars on the third floor for added precision. You will be able to witness the North Korean propaganda town, which is located exactly within the DMZ, as well as Gaesong, North Korea’s ninth-largest city. If you’re lucky enough to be here on a clear day, you can also view Kim Il-sung’s bronze monument! Dorasan Observatory was recently restored and reopened on October 22nd, 2018. The improvements increased its height and angle. You may now enjoy an unobstructed view of Kijong-dong, Gaesong City, and Gaesong Industrial Complex!
