When you get to Night Safari, which is part of the same wildlife reserve as the Singapore Zoo, you’ll board an open-air tram that will take you through the 98-acre (40-hectare) jungle park, which has been gently lighted to showcase the fascinating evening ambiance in which the resident animals come to life.

Pass through settings particularly created to imitate the natural surroundings of wildlife, from Southeast Asia’s rainforest to the Indian subcontinent and the Himalayan foothills, on the tram. Then go on a safari path with a guide to view big cats like Sri Lankan leopards and Gir lions. Explore the East Lodge Trail for Malayan tigers, spotted hyenas, and red river pigs, and the Wallaby Trail for Australian fauna.

Thumbuakar Performance: Watch an eager troop of Thumbuakar warriors execute tribal dance routines. Their rhythm, fire-eating abilities, flame-throwing exhibitions, and amazing acrobatics will astound you.

Creatures of the Night show: Journey inside the jungle with this interactive exhibit that showcases the behaviors and talents of nocturnal animals such as the civil, binturong, otter, and others. Be amazed by the spotted hyena’s formidable jaws and the African serval’s ability to jump for prey.

Optional buffet dinner upgrade: Enhance your Night Safari experience with dinner at Ulu Ulu Safari Restaurant, a 600-seat diner serving a variety of local and foreign specialties. Enjoy the rustic-elegant environment, whether indoors with wooden decorations and rattan fans or outside with cicadas, frogs, and other evening critters as Ankole cattle graze nearby.
