Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel of choice before meeting your driver-guide for an introduction and a briefing. After packing your lunch, head to Mikumi National Park for an afternoon game drive.
As part of the Selous ecosystem, Mikumi National Park is wedged between Uluguru Mountain to the northeast, Udzungwa Mountains, and the Rift Valley escarpment to the southwest. This region has the highest animal density in the whole conservation area, which is located west of Dar es Salaam City and 107 kilometers from the nearest town, Morogoro, on the route between Dar es Salaam and Zambia, and has an area of 3230 km2.

Observe lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippopotamus, crocodiles, and many more creatures, as well as several bird species. Take a picnic lunch on the way to the park and enjoy afternoon game drives till dusk. Enjoy supper and spend the night at Camp Bastian.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park – Dar es Salaam

Wake up and eat breakfast at the Camp before heading out on an early morning wildlife drive in the Park. Discover animals as they forage for their breakfast in the morning.
After a hearty lunch at the camp, you will be driven back to Dar es Salaam and dropped off at your preferred hotel or the airport for your onward trip.
