Tour itinerary

Take advantage of hotel pickup, the So Conrado Subway stop or make your own way to the Brazilian Confederation of Hang Gliding headquarters to meet your instructor.

After that, take a 15-minute jeep trip into Tijuca National Park to the Pedra Bonita Ramp, which is 1,700 feet (520 meters) above sea level. It’s time for takeoff after a safety briefing and a rehearsal.

Take the plunge and enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, Rio’s famed beaches, Christ the Redeemer monument, Sugarloaf Mountain, Guanabara Bay, and much more.

Your tandem flight will culminate with a clean landing on the beach at So Conrado, with GoPro cameras mounted to the wing capturing the entire journey. In Rio de Janeiro, you will have an outstanding sightseeing experience.

Point of convergence:

  • The meeting location may differ based on the option selected.
  • Pickup is provided from hotels in Ipanema, Copacabana, Leme, Leblon, Jardim Botânico, Gávea, Lagoa, Botafogo, Urca, Flamengo, and Barra da Tijuca. If you are staying outside the pickup route, please contact the local operator and you will be sent to the nearest accessible meeting spot.

Not permitted:

  • Pets.

Before you go, be aware of the following:

  • This excursion is not suitable for persons who weigh more than 100 kg (220 lbs).
  • All participants are required to acquire flying insurance. 20 USD when you arrive at the meeting location
  • Inquire with your teacher if you desire a higher level of adrenaline during your flight.
  • Depending on wind conditions, the flight time will be between 7 and 15 minutes. The trip lasts around 2.5 hours in total.
  • If you possess a GoPro, you may bring it with you and connect it to your flying helmet.
  • The footage from the front camera is included, however, the photographs and video from the side and back cameras may be purchased separately.
  • The minimum age for this activity is 14 years old.
