Tour itinerary
Hop in a customized open-air vehicle (weather permitting) from Teton Village in Jackson Hole for a drive out on the harsh landscape of Grand Teton National Park. Gaze up at the jagged peak of Grand Teton, the park’s tallest mountain, from the luxury of your open-air vehicle, while feeling the wind in your hair as you ride out into the woods. When the temperature lowers in the fall and winter, excursions are conducted in a safari-style vehicle that is covered for comfort and warmth, and these small group trips have just nine people in the summer and ten passengers in the winter.
Explore a portion of the national park’s 310,000 acres on this Grand Teton wildlife excursion. Scan the area for the park’s 60 animal species and keep an eye out for the park’s over 300 bird species. Try to identify elk, bears, bison, mule deer, moose, or wolves with binoculars given by your local guide, and keep an eye out for ospreys, owls, hawks, and soaring bald eagles. There’s even a possibility you’ll encounter black and grizzly bears.
In addition to the abundance of animals, you will see the Snake River landscape as it is framed by jagged mountains, and your guide will discuss the geology and ecology before returning to Teton Village.
Summer cruises run from June 15 to August 31, while fall and winter tours run from September 1 to June 14. On request, hotel pickup in the Jackson Hole region is available.
