Tour itinerary
Taksim Square
Taksim Square is regarded as the city’s beating heart. It is where we will meet.
Cihangir
We’re eating a classic Turkish breakfast here. Turkish cuisine is well-known around the world, and Turkish breakfast is an essential component of Turkish cuisine.
Karakoy
Karaköy is an Istanbul hippy / hipster area. It is well-known for its bars, cafés, taverns, and restaurants.
Karakoy Rihtim
‘Karakoy Gulluoglu’ is holding a baklava tasting. Baklava is a Middle Eastern dessert made with pistachio. It is Middle Eastern, yet Turks are really skilled at producing baklava. The Gulluoglu family is famous throughout Turkey for producing the greatest baklava in Istanbul.
Kadikoy Iskelesi
Kadikoy is the most attractive section of Istanbul’s Asian side. Expats in Istanbul generally prefer to live in Kadikoy. Because it is a liberal and open-minded neighborhood. After a great 20-minute boat journey, we arrived in Kadikoy. We are traveling from Europe to Asia, so we will be crossing two continents.
Kadikoy Iskelesi: We’re eating lunch at Kadikoy. It’s a little kebap restaurant that serves the greatest chicken doner kebap in town.
Uskudar: From Uskudar, we board a 1.5-hour ferry for the Bosphorus Tour.
Bosphorus Strait: The Bosphorus Cruise lasts two hours and crosses two continents (Asia and Europe). It is a “must-do” activity in Istanbul. Istanbul is a large city with a population of about 20 million people, so the Bosphorus Cruise is a terrific and convenient method to explore the entire city quickly. The trip will focus on historic Ottoman mansions, which are among the most costly residences in the world.
Balat: It is Istanbul’s Jewish District. There are still some operating synagogues nowadays. Architecturally, we may trace Jewish influence. It is also one of Istanbul’s most attractive and interesting neighborhoods.
Fener Rum Ortodoks Patrikhanesi Kutuphanesi: The next destination is the Greek Orthodox Patriarch and the Fener District. Fener is well-known for its boutique coffee shops and fascinating back alleyways. It’s a true Istanbul hidden treasure.

Travel, dine, and unwind as a local! This trip combines a cuisine tour with a history visit. Metin, our tour guide, engaged us completely in the local culture. We ate like Turks from breakfast to lunch to dinner. We used public transit and experienced what it was like to be a native in Istanbul for a day. We took the subway, boat, and tram. Metin took us to the districts of Cirjangir, Kadikoy, Fener, and Balat. We enjoyed the local stores, cafés, restaurants, and marketplaces frequented by Istanbul residents. To top it all off, we got to experience what it was like to get treated in a Hamam. I wholeheartedly suggest this tour and our tour guide Metin.
