Tour itinerary

Goreme (Pass By)

Goreme, a village actually cut into the volcanic rock, serves as the entry to the Goreme National Park, a large UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning 10th- and 11th-century cave churches. The park is well-known for its chimney rock formations and is popular with travelers. It’s also an excellent place to try Turkish food and wine.

Cappadocia (Pass By)

The moonscaped area of Cappadocia, southeast of Ankara, is most known for its unusual geological features known as fairy chimneys. The massive, cone-like structures were formed over time by weathering of the surrounding comparatively soft volcanic ash. Previous societies delved into them to build homes, fortresses (like Uchisar), and even entire underground towns like Kaymakli and Derinkuyu, which were utilized as hiding places by early Christians. Kayseri, which is nearby, serves as the area’s entry point.

Goreme Open-Air Museum

The Goreme Open-Air Museum is reminiscent of a gigantic monastery complex made up of dozens of refectory monasteries situated side by side, each with its own beautiful cathedral. It is undoubtedly the first sight that each visitor to Cappadocia should see, as it is located in the heart of the area and is easily accessible from all directions.

Pasabag

Pasabag is located in Cappadocia on the way to Zelve from Goreme or Avanos. Here, in the heart of a vineyard, are several quite impressive earth pillars, thus the name of the location, which translates as “Pacha’s Vineyard.” Pacha, which means “General” in Turkish, is a popular nickname. Monks Valley is another name for this location. The name comes from certain cones cut in tuff stones that stand out. There is currently a vineyard and a number of tuff cones right close to the road.

Pigeon Valley

Pigeon Valley is a renowned tourist site in Turkey’s Cappadocia area. The valley is well-known for its scenic beauty, rock-cut dovecotes, and hiking routes. Some of Pigeon Valley’s features include: The valley is famous for its rock-cut dovecotes, which were sculpted out of soft volcanic rock by ancient inhabitants. These dovecotes are a distinctive feature of the valley and were used to breed pigeons for food. Visitors may view the dovecotes and learn about Cappadocia’s traditional way of life. Hiking: Pigeon Valley is famous hiking and trekking destination. Hiking across the valley allows visitors to take in the breathtaking views and natural rock formations. Panorama views: The valley provides panoramic views of the surrounding terrain, including Cappadocia’s fairy chimneys, cave houses, and other natural treasures. The lovely view may be seen from the top of the valley.

Kaymakli Underground City: Kaymakli subterranean city was erected beneath the hill known as the Citadel of Kaymakli and opened to visitors in 1964. The villagers of Kaymakli (Enegup in Greek) hamlet built their homes around roughly one hundred tunnels of the underground metropolis. The residents of the region continue to utilize the most convenient spots in the tunnels as cellars, storage rooms, and stables, which they access through their courtyards. The Kaymakli Underground City contains low, narrow, and sloping corridors. While the subterranean city has eight stories below ground, only four of them are available to the public today, with the rooms designed around ventilation shafts.

Urgup (Pass By): Urgup, the most affluent and modern tourist destination in the Cappadocia region, offers a variety of wonderful hotels, many of which are constructed in and around centuries-old cave houses. The city and its environs are famed for their enigmatic fairy chimneys, early Christian rock churches, and outstanding vineyards. Urgup is a combination of ancient and modern, with a vibrant nightlife as well as a hub for traditional handmade carpets. Hot air ballooning is a popular method to enjoy the beauty of the area from above.

Uchisar Castle

Uchisar is located at Cappadocia’s highest point, on the Nevsehir-Goreme road, about 5 kilometers from Goreme. The peak of Uchisar Castle offers a spectacular view of the surrounding country, with Mount Erciyes in the background.
