Testimonials

Tanzania is home to the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, which makes it a strong contender for Africa’s top safari destination. Of course, there is much more than just these two locations. Why not? Most visitors go to the legendary Northern Circuit. Apart from the aforementioned destinations, which have an incredible density of Big Five species and sublime beauty, this amazing region around the gateway city of Arusha also includes Tarangire (huge dry season herds) and Lake Manyara (flamingos, tree-climbing lions, and Rift Valley scenery) national parks, both of which are incredible in their own right.

Tanzania offers it everything as a safari destination: if this is your first safari and your driving aim is to obtain some great sightings and the big 5 as soon as possible, Ngorongoro Conservation Area is perhaps the best spot in the world. If you have time for a longer safari and want to roam as a nomad with the massive herds, or merely skitter over the grassland between the rock outcrops that serve as watch points for the Serengeti prides, head for the Serengeti. The Serengeti, along with Botswana’s Kalahari, is for me one of the greatest sites in the world to witness the awe-inspiring expanse of the African environment.
There is no better sensation than being in the center of the savannah’s unmatched vastness, with no other vehicle in sight and a herd of wildebeest extending as far as the eye can reach towards the horizon.
