Tour itinerary
Day 1:
Begin your 6-day tour with a pickup from your Cairo hotel. See the Pyramids of Giza, the oldest and last remaining of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Afterward, proceed to the Egyptian Museum to study about the evolution of Egyptian culture.
Following that, your driver will transport you to your Cairo hotel, where you will spend the next two nights.
Day 2:
Drive to Alexandria in the morning and tour the Kom El-Deka neighborhood, which was formerly an opulent residential district in Greco-Roman times. Continue on to the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, one of the Middle Ages’ Seven Wonders.
After visiting the catacombs, have lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Great Library of Alexandria in Alexandria, which was one of the largest and most important libraries in the ancient world.
The Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15th-century defensive fortification near the Mediterranean, is your final visit to Alexandria. You will then be driven back to your Cairo hotel.
Day 3:
In the morning, drive to the airport and board your flight to Luxor. Your driver will be waiting for you outside the airport when you arrive in Luxor.
Go to the East Bank from the airport to see Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. After seeing the temples, take a felucca ride down the river before being dropped off at your cruise ship for the following three nights.
Day 4:
Get an early start for a hot air balloon flight above Luxor. Following the landing, your guide will meet you and take you to the West Bank of Luxor to see the Valley of the Kings. Next, proceed on to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Dinner will round up your day back aboard the ship.
Day 5:
Take a horse-drawn carriage to Edfu after breakfast on board. Enjoy a guided tour of the Temple of Horus before returning to the cruise ship for a buffet lunch as you sail to your next destination. See the unique Temple of Kom Ombo in the afternoon before returning to the boat for supper.
Day 6:
Early in the morning, take a small-group tour to one of Egypt’s most beautiful temple complexes, Abu Simbel Temples. After the trip, your guide will return you to the cruise ship to get your bags.
You will then be driven to Aswan airport to catch your flight back to Cairo. After you arrive in Cairo, your driver will meet you outside the airport and take you to your hotel.
