Tour itinerary

Day 1:

Begin with a pickup from your hotel lobby and go by speed boat from Manaus to Cacau Pirera. Drive to the settlement of Paricatuba. Travel to the Lodge via motorized boat from this settlement.

After lunch, enjoy a canoe ride through little rivers with the multilingual guide and go piranha fishing. A nighttime adventure will provide you with the opportunity to witness alligators and other creatures that are often concealed during the day.

Day 2:

Breakfast will be served, followed by an instructive jungle stroll. During the tour, the ranger will explain to you about medicinal herbs and Amazon rainforest trees. The higher the height, the more diverse the plant life, the larger the trees, and the denser the forest.

Return to the resort for lunch and some free time to swim in the tea-colored waters of the Rio Negro. Depending on the season, enjoy a paddle canoe excursion through narrow waterways (Igarapés) or flooded areas (Igapós) if a 3- or 4-day option is chosen.

Day 3:(optional)

Take an early morning tour, breakfast, and then see the residents’ homes. These “Caboclos” live a traditional lifestyle and are proud individuals who like sharing their way of life. The guide will also discuss local farming practices here.

If the 4-day option is selected, enjoy lunch before departing for overnight jungle camping with a native guide. The knowledgeable jungle guide will teach you everything you need to know about obtaining what you need from the rainforest without hurting it.

There will also be opportunities to witness wildlife and listen to the nighttime chorus of birds, howler monkeys, and other creatures.

Day 4:(optional)

Have breakfast in the bush before returning to the resort. You will have free time after lunch to swim in the tea-colored waters of the Rio Negro. Prepare to return to Manaus, arriving late in the afternoon.

Testimonials

If you visit South America, I believe this is a must-do activity. It was a fantastic opportunity to discover the lush Amazon through a variety of activities. For an extra charge, you may swim with pink dolphins and explore a typical Indian town!It was a really safe and enjoyable excursion!

In general, we enjoyed the vacation. Unfortunately, the dolphin swimming (150 Reais) and indigenous tribe (75 Reais) were not included; nonetheless, we highly suggest them. Another couple bought the package on a different website, included both trips, and spent more than 150€ less. The boat broke down multiple times, forcing us to halt in the middle of a river and row back. Instead of replacing the engine, it was just fixed. The cuisine was adequate, with pescatarian alternatives available. The setting was stunning, and the native guides were fantastic. There were barely a few mosquitos in the resort (there were no mosquito nets provided). Our other guide was not from the Amazon and didn't know anything about it.
