Tour itinerary
Begin the day with a pickup from your Jackson Hole hotel in the early morning. You’ll journey from Jackson to Yellowstone in an air-conditioned coach for two hours, savoring the sweeping mountain views of Grand Teton National Park. When you first approach Yellowstone National Park, you’ll see the Lower Loop’s principal attractions, including the Old Faithful geyser. Gaze in awe at Lewis Canyon and Lewis Lake.
You’ll next be taken to Firehole River, which is home to the multi-colored, eternally intriguing, multicolored Fountain Paint Pot. The Fountain Paint Pot, as your guide will tell, is one of Yellowstone’s naturally occurring geologic wonders, composed of yellows, browns, and reds generated by iron in the mud.
Then, travel through the steamy Geyser Basin to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, a 20-mile (32-kilometer) gorge in the earth that houses Yellowstone Falls. Watch as the water glides gently down the canyon before plummeting over the falls, which are not only the highest but also one of the most famous in America.
Continue the journey into the rolling grasslands of bison-filled Hayden Valley, where you could observe a wolf prowling the windswept grass in addition to herds of muscular bison exploring the open landscape.
Finally, your Yellowstone trip from Jackson Hole culminates at the Lake Hotel, a historic location with a view of the huge Yellowstone Lake. On the relaxing trip back to Jackson Hole, you may go at your photos and recall the splendor of America’s first national park, or gaze out the window as the sun sets low over Grand Teton National Park.
