Tour itinerary

Rio Carnival is the world’s most popular and greatest Carnival! It’s no surprise that the Guinness Book of World Records called it the “Largest Carnival in the World” in 2004. Carioca Carnival is a cultural celebration in which freedom of expression is celebrated in a creative and enjoyable manner, as symbolized by samba school parades, carnival balls, and a street carnival.

The official Samba School parades take place at the Rio de Janeiro Sambadrome, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the most famous Brazilian architect, and opened in 1983 with a capacity of 80,000 spectators. Every year, the Samba Schools fight for the Carnival Champion Title, with one school being named the best of the best. Throughout Carnival, around 30,000 individuals perform. Every school has between 4,000 and 5,000 students.

The parades take place over five days and are separated into three categories: Access Group, Special Group, and Champions Parade.

Access Organization

Feb. 9 and 10 – The Samba Schools compete in the Access Group in order to advance to the Special Group the next year. You will observe 12 schools parade with zeal and elegance, 6 every day. This is ideal for anyone looking to experience the charm of carnival on a budget.

Special Committee

The Carnival Parade is held on the 11th and 12th of February.
The greatest 14 Samba schools in Rio de Janeiro – 7 each day – display their ingenuity and inventiveness.
These are Sambadrome’s really wonderful nights.
Because it is the most popular parade with big league schools, tickets are more expensive these days.

Parade of Champions

On that night, the top six Special Group schools, as well as the Access Group Champion, will perform again.
This is a spectacular night to showcase the year’s Carnaval winners.

Testimonials

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! It is not for everyone's taste. There are many people. You have to walk a lot and climb stairs. When the performance is on, it appears as if people are multiplying everywhere. For me, the duration was excessive. The carnival is one-of-a-kind, with numerous colors, fantastic live music, happiness, lights, and a lot of excitement. It is critical to take a break before getting there. The Carnival Parade Brazil experience was amazing.

Carnival is an unforgettable must-do experience! We attended on the first night, and I must say that the throng thinned out quickly - it started around 10 p.m., and by 2 a.m., most people had departed. We didn't stay for all seven groups, but we enjoyed what we did see! The toilets are filthy; bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer; there is a woman handing out single toilet paper sheets during breaks, but that's all! The Carnival Parade Brazil experience was amazing.
