On the first day, you will be picked up from your Tunisian accommodation and taken to ‘El Jem,’ a well-preserved Roman amphitheater. You will next go to Kairouan to see the 9th-century Aghlabid ponds before marveling at the magnificent Grand Mosque, the oldest in North Africa. Your experienced guide will give you an insight into Tunisian history and culture, and you will spend the night in Tozeur.

On the second day, you will view the stunningly gorgeous Chebika and Tamerza waterfalls before traveling to the Mides Canyons. In the afternoon, you will have a horse-drawn carriage trip through the Palm Groves before traveling to the desert to view the movie site where Star Wars was filmed – ideal for any film enthusiasts! Following that, you will go to Douz, stopping along the route to see the salt lake. You may visit the famed winding pathways of the souk marketplaces in Douz and take a camel or quad bike journey across the desert dunes.

The third day is dedicated to exploring the Sahara desert, an amazing dry region filled with towering dunes. Before settling into the luxurious desert campground, have lunch with a view of the plains. The evening will be spent here eating excellent traditional meals and listening to drumming while warming up around the campfire.

On the fourth day of your journey, you will go to Matmata, a ‘Troglodyte’ Berber settlement. The iconic underground buildings, where many people still live today, may be seen here. Continue on to Ksar Hadada, where you can see the historic fortress, before stopping in Chenini to see the ‘7th Asleep’ mosque and museum. After that, you’ll have a relaxing evening in Tataouine.

The last day will be spent shopping in the winding Jara Souk, where you can buy keepsakes from this incredible vacation. You will be returned to your accommodation, content in the knowledge that you have discovered the true Tunisia.
