Tour itinerary
Day : 1 Marrakech – Tizi -n-Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Our 5-day Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara desert adventure begins at 8 a.m. on the first day. The driver will pick you up from your Marrakesh accommodation and drive you to Ouarzazate, traveling via the High Atlas Mountains pass (Tizi-N-Tichka) and stopping for a break to capture some beautiful photos of this magnificent region. Afterward, we’ll continue on to Ouarzazate, traveling through Berber communities and arriving at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site designated in 1987 and a popular filming location. We’ll eat lunch at Ait Benhaddou and see the Kasbah/ksar. Following there, we’ll continue on to Ouarzazate and then to Dades Valley, where we’ll spend the night. Thus concludes the first day of our 5-day Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara desert journey.
Day : 2 Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
After breakfast on the second day of our desert vacation from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert, we will travel along the route of 1000 kasbahs from Dades Valley to Todra Gorges. We will visit one of Morocco’s most intriguing oases, Todra, and stroll through the canyons, which are roughly 300 meters high and ideal for mountain climbers. Afterward, we’ll go on to the Merzouga desert. During our journey, we will travel through various Berber communities and Erfoud, giving us a taste of the Desert environment. Arrival in Merzouga and staying in a hotel will be the final leg of the 5-day Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara desert tour.
Day : 3 Merzouga – Chebbi Desert – 4×4 Tour
We will depart the hotel after breakfast on the third day of our 5-day desert journey from Marrakech to Merzouga. We’ll continue our journey by 4*4 driving between the golden dunes of Erg-Chebbi Sahara desert, visiting nomadic families and exploring the heart of the Sahara desert, where you can see an outstanding sunset, and then we’ll join the nomadic people in the heart of the Sahara desert to enjoy some nice music. Afterward, we’ll spend the night in a Berber nomadic camp with individual tents, which will be an unforgettable experience for you. Our third day of our Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara desert adventure will come to a conclusion here.
Day : 4 Camel Trekking back to Merzouga – Berber Villages – Ouarzazate
The 4th day of our 5 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara will start earlier, as we will wake up to enjoy the sunrise in Merzouga Sahara. Then we will ride camels back to the hotel for breakfast and showered. After that, we will drive back to Ouarzazate, along the way we will pass through Berber villages, Tinjdad, Tinghir & Dades. Arrival at the hotel in Ouarzazate will be the last destination of our desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara for 5 days.
Day : 5 Ouarzazate – Tizi-N-Tichka – Marrakech
On the final day of our 5-day desert vacation from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will travel back from Ouarzazate to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass. Along the trip, we will be treated to breathtaking sights and landscapes. When we arrive in Marrakech, the driver will drop you off at your hotel, bringing our Morocco Sahara desert trip from Marrakech to Merzouga to a close.
