Tour itinerary

Your two-day excursion begins with a pick-up from your Marrakech accommodation and travels to the High Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni. Get amazing views of the surrounding countryside as well as glimpses of tiny settlements along the valley as you travel. Arrive in Imlil and meet your trekking crew for the excursion, then relax with a refreshing mint tea before a day of exploration.

Set off with your guides towards Azzaden Valley through the Tizi Mzik pass, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the valley as well as numerous adjacent Atlas peaks. Enjoy a delectable and genuine tagine supper amidst the quiet tranquillity of the highlands.

On day 2, after breakfast, relax in the sunshine that illuminates this beautiful valley before driving out to Id Issa town. Spend some time sightseeing before making your way to Tizi Oudid mountain pass, passing via Matat hamlet on the route. Arrive in a walnut orchard and have a leisurely lunch by the river. Eventually, return to Marrakech at 5 pm, on these 2 days in Morocco you will enjoy it.

Testimonials

Mustafa and Mohammed, our tour guides, were fantastic. It had recently snowed, so they had to modify the trek and encourage us when the snow was thick. Mohammed went above and above to save a blown-away garment. Both guides are clearly proud and knowledgeable about their surroundings. It was a fantastic experience with breathtaking sights. It comes highly recommended. These 2 days in Morocco were amazing.

I would strongly suggest the two-day walk to anybody interested in seeing the Atlas Mountains. Muhammed was an excellent guide who shared a wealth of knowledge as we traveled into the highlands and via Berber settlements. There was some wonderful food included, and we were able to trek at a reasonable speed appropriate for our ability. If you visit in February, be prepared for cold nights (thankfully, there are plenty of blankets available)! these 2 days were amazing.
