7 days in South Africa safari, see the winding roads from Cape Town to Addo National Park with a combined trip plan that includes a 2-day Western Cape tour and a 5-day Garden Route tour. Accommodation, tastings, bushwalks, and other activities are available.

Tour itinerary

Day 1:Cape Winelands and Cape Point

In the picturesque Cape Winelands, try wine coupled with cheese at Fairview Wine Estate and chocolate at Muratie Wine Estate. Take a 15-minute wine tram ride to Rickety Bridge in Franschhoek’s historic town center for a Taste & Tram tour of the Cape Winelands (or similar).
Spend your time in Franschhoek for lunch before returning to Cape Town for your overnight stay according to your package: Never@home Backpackers (Saver), 3-star Sea Point Protea or Sky hotel (Comfort), or 4-star Garden Court Hotel Victoria Junction or comparable (Deluxe).

Day 2:

The next day, go to Cape Point via Chapman’s Peak. Go down Boulder’s Beach to see the penguins after a short trek to the top of the lighthouse and a stroll down to the Cape of Good Hope. Before another overnight stay in Cape Town, drive by the colorful beach cottages at Muizenberg Beach.

Day 3: Oudtshoorn

Capture the beauty of the high mountains and rugged Karoo Plains on a drive along the legendary Route 62 to reach and explore the Cango Caves. Stay the night in Oudtshoorn: Uthando Backpackers (Saver), 3-star Yamkela Guesthouse (Comfort), 4-star Buffelsdrift Lodge, or similar (Deluxe).

Day 4:Addo

During an optional jungle trek, you can fall in love with enormous orphaned elephants. Before spending the night in Addo, visit an ostrich farm: Avoca Cabins (Saver), 3-star Gerlads Gift Guesthouse (Comfort), 4-star Addo Wildlife Lodge, or similar (Deluxe).

Day 5: Addo and J’bay

Search for animals during a game drive by tour bus at Addo Elephant National Park, which has the world’s densest population of wild elephants. Choose an additional Addo 4×4 safari guided by a ranger.
Swim, surf, or participate in extra activities like beach horseback riding or sand boarding at J’bay Beach. Stay at Island Vibe Backpackers (Saver), 3-star Sea Whisper (Comfort), or 4-star On The Beach Guesthouse in Jeffrey’s Bay (Deluxe).

Day 6: Wilderness

Challenge your fears by jumping from the world’s tallest bungee bridge at the Bloukrans, zip-lining over waterfalls, or spending the extra time exploring the Tsitsikamma National Park.
Visit The Heads Viewpoint in Knysna, then stay overnight in the Wilderness National Park region at PiliPili Backpackers (Saver), Fairy Knowe (Comfort), or Dolphin Dune (4-star) (Deluxe).

Day 7: Wilderness National Park

Paddle calmly in nature in the Wilderness zone and see rich birds while rowing to a waterfall. Before returning to the Cape in the evening, you can explore Mossel Bay Beach or go on an optional 4×4 Botlierskop Game Reserve Safari.
