Most of Tanzania’s Christians follow the Roman Catholic Church and Protestantism. Among Protestants, the presence of both the Lutheran Church and the Moravian Church dates back to the country’s German colonial past, while the presence of the Anglican Church dates back to the British colonial era. There is a noticeable presence of Pentecostal and Adventist followers as well, due to missionary activity, and they are growing significantly.
