The main religion of Ethiopia consists of a number of religions. The World Factbook confirms Islam as the second most widely practiced religion in Ethiopia, noting that about 45 percent of Ethiopia’s population is Muslim. Islam is the main religion in several regions.
As for Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Sayed, he mentioned that according to 2006 AD estimates, the population of Ethiopia is estimated at 75 million people, and the percentage of Muslims ranges between (55-65%) of the total population: that is about 48 million Muslims.
